DAY 8 — SUNDAY - FaithBindsUs Daily Devotional For The Easter Week
He Is Risen — The Victory of God Revealed
Applicable Scripture: 🙏 Matthew 28:5–6 (NKJV)
The Resurrection Proves It All
The resurrection is not an addition to the story—it is the confirmation of everything.
Every promise God made…
Every word Jesus spoke…
Every act of sacrifice on the cross…All of it is validated in this moment.
The resurrection declares that sin has been paid for, death has been overcome, and the power of God has been revealed in full. What was accomplished on the cross is now confirmed by the empty tomb. This is the turning point of all history—the moment where the Old gives way to the New, where death gives way to life, and where separation gives way to a restored relationship with God.
The resurrection does not simply show that Jesus lives. It proves that everything He said is true.
Narrative Reality
The stone is rolled away—not to let Jesus out, but to let us see in.
The tomb is empty. The grave clothes remain. The silence of Saturday is broken by the declaration of heaven: “He is not here; for He is risen.”
What appeared to be the end has become the beginning. The One who was beaten, crucified, and buried now stands alive. Death—the final enemy—has been defeated, not symbolically, but completely.
The disciples will soon see Him. The world will soon hear the message. And nothing will ever be the same again.
FaithBindsUs Insight
Without the resurrection, the cross is unfinished. With the resurrection, the victory is undeniable.
The cross paid the price.
The resurrection proves it was accepted.
This is not partial hope.
This is complete assurance.
Because He lives… sin no longer defines you, death no longer holds you, and your future is no longer uncertain.
A Prayer
Risen Lord, anchor my life in the unshakable truth that You are alive. Let the reality of the empty tomb reshape how I think, how I live, and how I trust You. Where there has been fear, bring confidence. Where there has been doubt, bring clarity. Where there has been death, bring life. Teach me to live not as one waiting for victory, but as one who stands in it. You are risen. And because You are risen… everything has changed. In Jesus’ name, Amen.
