Even Doubters Can Lead - Day 10/11 (April 16)
Doubt did not disqualify him—encounter transformed him.
Scripture: 🙏 1 Corinthians 15:7 (NKJV) — “After that He was seen by James.”
What Happened
After His resurrection, Jesus appeared personally to James. This is significant because James was not originally among the believing disciples during Jesus’ earthly ministry. As His brother, he had seen Jesus closely yet did not fully believe in Him as the Messiah. But after the resurrection, something changed. This direct encounter with the risen Christ transformed James. He moved from doubt to conviction and later became a recognized leader in the early church, guiding others, strengthening believers, and standing firm in truth.
What It Means
God does not discard those who once doubted. He transforms them. Doubt is not the end of the story; it can become the doorway to deeper understanding and stronger faith. James’ life shows that belief grounded in personal encounter with truth produces lasting change. Those who wrestle honestly and come to clarity often become the most steady and faithful leaders. God’s work is not limited by where someone starts but is revealed in what He does within them.
Why This Matters Today
Many people carry the weight of past uncertainty, mistakes, or seasons of doubt. This moment reminds us that no one is disqualified from being used by God. Transformation is the evidence of His work. When a life changes, it becomes a testimony that others can see and trust. God often uses those who have walked through questions and come out grounded in truth to help guide others who are searching.
A Simple Truth to Carry
God uses changed lives to lead others.
A Prayer
Lord, transform my life so that it reflects You. Use my story to help others see the truth clearly. Amen.
