Exodus - Day 8 - Deliverance: The Lord Redeems His People (Feb 8)
Reflection & Rest / Psalm 77:13–15 (NKJV)
Reflection & Rest — The God Who Works Wonders
Reflection
In this psalm, the writer looks back on God’s mighty works and finds comfort in remembering who God has always been. He has been holy, faithful, and powerful to redeem. The same God who parted the sea, delivered Israel, and displayed His strength in Egypt is the God who keeps His people today.
Reflection and rest invite us to pause… to breathe… to remember.
We are not sustained by our efforts, anxieties, or performance, but by God’s enduring faithfulness. When life feels uncertain or overwhelming, Scripture calls us to look back at God’s works so that our faith may rest in His character, not our circumstances.
This week has shown us that deliverance belongs to the Lord. Reflection reminds us that redemption is not only an event in history but also God’s ongoing care for His people, generation after generation.
Let this be your rest today:
God has not changed.
His power has not faded.
His love has not weakened.
The God who redeems — still redeems.
A Prayer
Lord, we rest in Your faithfulness today. You are the God who works wonders, Redeemer of Your people and anchor of our hope. Help us remember Your mighty acts, trust Your heart, and find peace in Your presence. Keep our hearts quiet before You, and renew our strength in Your steadfast love. Amen.
