This work is not led by a single individual. It is guided by a committed and experienced Board of Directors who bring together a unique combination of spiritual leadership, professional expertise, and real-world experience. Each person plays a distinct role, ensuring that the mission is not only pursued with passion but also with wisdom and responsibility.
FaithBindsUs is led by Founder, Chairman, and President Mark Donnelly, who oversees the day-to-day execution of the mission. With decades of experience in business and public health, Mark brings both operational discipline and a deep personal commitment to helping others. This is not theoretical work; it is hands-on, intentional, and driven by a desire to see lives genuinely impacted. He is supported by a Board that strengthens every aspect of the organization:
Pastor Derek Duncan provides over 35 years of theological training and pastoral leadership, ensuring that everything remains grounded in sound doctrine and spiritual accountability.
Patrick Hazard, PA, brings a unique combination of medical insight and ministry experience, helping evaluate needs with both compassion and practical understanding.
Ryan Donnelly is a seasoned software engineer with over 15 years of experience, including work with The New York Times. He supports the digital infrastructure that allows this mission to reach people consistently and effectively.
Lauren Donnelly contributes deep operational and financial experience from building and sustaining successful businesses, helping ensure strong stewardship and organizational stability.
Together, this is not just a board in name. It is a group actively engaged in protecting the mission, guiding decisions, and ensuring that every action aligns with FaithBindsUs’ purpose.
Financial accountability is equally rigorous. All funds are tracked with complete transparency and maintained through accurate financial records. An independent CPA firm, Swanson Group of Portland, Maine, oversees a full audit trail, ensuring that every dollar is accounted for and used as intended.
In addition, all required filings and disclosures are submitted to the appropriate governing bodies, including the Internal Revenue Service and the Massachusetts Attorney General’s Office. No part of the organization’s earnings benefits any private individual—this work exists solely to serve others.
Operational expenses are handled responsibly and only as necessary to sustain the mission. Covering areas such as technology, platform costs, and administration. As the organization grows, any compensation will be carefully reviewed and approved by the Board to ensure it remains fair, appropriate, and aligned with nonprofit standards.
This structure exists for one reason: to ensure that every act of generosity is honored with integrity, accountability, and real impact. Because at the end of the day, this is not about building an organization. It is about faithfully serving people, with clarity, honesty, and purpose.
Where Your Funds Go.
After covering necessary operating costs, all net proceeds are directed toward benevolent outreach. Ensuring that support is not only given but given wisely and with purpose.
These funds are distributed through Chapel of the Cross and operate under the direct supervision of Pastor Derek Duncan, with additional oversight and care informed by Patrick Hazard, PA. Every need is approached with both compassion and discernment, considering not only spiritual circumstances, but also practical and, when appropriate, medical realities.
Support is not given arbitrarily or based solely on a compelling story. It is provided based on real, verified need. Carefully evaluated by those with experience, wisdom, and a commitment to responsible stewardship. This ensures that help reaches those who truly need it, in ways that genuinely make a difference.
