God’s rest on the seventh day does not signal exhaustion, but completion and delight. Creation is declared finished, ordered, and blessed. By setting apart a day of rest, God weaves rhythm into life itself—work followed by worship, activity grounded in trust. Rest becomes a gift that teaches us to stop striving, to recognize that the world is sustained by God, not by our constant effort. In resting, we affirm that what God has made is good and that His purposes are secure.
Short Prayer
Lord, teach me to rest in what You have completed. Help me trust Your work, receive Your blessing, and find peace in Your presence. Amen.
