He Calls You by Name - Day 1/11 (April 7)
He was not recognized by sight—but revealed by name.
Scripture: 🙏 John 20:16 (NKJV) — “Jesus said to her, ‘Mary!’”
What Happened
Mary stood outside the tomb weeping, believing everything was lost. She saw Jesus, but did not recognize Him until He spoke her name.
What It Means
The resurrection is something to understand. It is someone to know. Jesus reveals Himself personally. Recognition does not begin with sight, but with hearing His voice. Faith begins when what is unseen becomes known through Him.
Why This Matters Today
We often look for God in dramatic moments, clear signs, or big answers. But like Mary, we can miss Him even when He is near. He still calls, personally and intentionally. The question is not whether He speaks, but whether we are listening.
A Simple Truth to Carry
He does not call crowds first. He calls individuals by name.
A Prayer
Lord, help me to hear Your voice clearly. In the middle of distraction or doubt, call me again—and give me a heart that recognizes You. Amen.
