This Is Public Truth, Not Private Belief - Day 9/11 (April 15)
The resurrection was not whispered—it was witnessed.
🙏 1 Corinthians 15:6 (NKJV) — “He was seen by over five hundred brethren at once.”
What Happened
After His resurrection, Jesus did not appear to just one or two individuals. He revealed Himself to many, including a gathering of over 500 people at a time. This was not a private vision or a hidden moment. It was a public appearance witnessed by a large group. At the time this was written, many of those witnesses were still alive, able to confirm what they had seen. The resurrection was not kept in secret; it was openly demonstrated.
What It Means
The resurrection of Jesus is not symbolic language or a spiritual metaphor. It is a real event that took place in history, seen and confirmed by many witnesses. Faith is not built on imagination or wishful thinking. It is grounded in what God has done in reality. The testimony of these witnesses establishes that the foundation of the gospel rests on what is true, not on what is assumed.
Why This Matters Today
In a world where truth is often treated as personal or relative, this moment reminds us that the core of our faith is objective and unchanging. Christianity is not built on ideas that shift with opinion, but on events that occurred and were witnessed. This gives us confidence not only to believe but also to stand firm. What we trust in is not uncertain; it has been seen, proclaimed, and preserved.
A Simple Truth to Carry
The resurrection is not a private idea. It is a public truth.
A Prayer
Lord, strengthen my confidence in what is true. Help me to stand firmly in the reality of what You have done. Amen.
