You Are Sent with Purpose - Day 8/11 (April 14)
You were never saved to stand still—you were saved to be sent.
🙏 Matthew 28:19 (NKJV) — “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit.”
What Happened
After His resurrection, Jesus gathers His disciples and gives them a clear and final instruction. He does not tell them to remain where they are or to keep what they have seen to themselves. Instead, He sends them out. The authority of this command comes directly from Him, the risen Christ. It extends beyond their immediate circle to “all nations.” This is not a suggestion; it is a commission. The work of the gospel is now entrusted to those who follow Him.
What It Means
Faith was never designed to remain private or contained. It is not simply something we believe internally. It shapes how we live and what we do. To “make disciples” means more than sharing a message; it means helping others come to know, follow, and grow in Christ. The mission is not temporary or limited to the first disciples. It continues through every generation of believers. What began with them now extends to us.
Why This Matters Today
It is easy to treat faith as something personal and separate from daily life. But Jesus makes it clear that following Him carries purpose beyond ourselves. We are not called to observe from a distance, but to participate. Each person has a role, whether through words, actions, encouragement, or quiet faithfulness. The mission does not require perfection; it requires willingness. God works through ordinary people who are willing to step forward in obedience.
A Simple Truth to Carry
You are not just saved! You are sent.
A Prayer
Lord, help me to live with purpose. Show me where You are sending me and give me the courage to follow. Amen.
